Dear ET Aquatics Parents and Athletes,
The following information highlights the next TWO WEEKS of ET BOYS WATER POLO. If you are an athlete on the ET GIRLS’ WATER POLO TEAM, you will receive this weekly update for one more week (Week of 8/21) until all rosters are checked with the coaching staff and contact lists are properly merged/compiled from the summer program. Thank you!
The “Hell Week” schedule below ONLY CONCERNS the ET BOYS’ WATER POLO athletes who are preparing for their Fall 2017 Season: First game on August 25th.
ET BOYS WATER POLO Parent Meeting is NEXT WEDNESDAY, 8/23 at 7 PM on the ET Pool Deck. Please plan to attend! Hear from Coach Tim Fredericksen and receive important information about the upcoming season!
ET GIRLS and BOYS are invited to participate in the Life Rolls On Huntington Beach Event on Saturday, August 26th! Join the BLACK TEAM for ET Water Polo and bring the family to see this amazing day of encouragement, personal victory, kindness, support, and inspiration. Registered participants will be assisting spinal cord injury athletes surf the waves at Huntington Beach! Athletes and Parents may contact Collin Holmes (ET Senior; V Water Polo) or Ioala Holmes (ETABO Communications). Details BELOW!
Hell Weeks for ET Boys Water Polo begins on Monday, August 14th!
1st Practice: 5-7 AM (Yes, 5:00 AM in order to accommodate scheduling issues!)
2nd Practice: 3-6 PM
Saturday, 8/19: Long Beach Stud Iron Man
(Coach will provide further details.)
1st Practice: 7-9 AM
2nd Practice: 3-6 PM
For ALL practices: Athletes need to bring Speedo, goggles, towel, athletic shoes and work out clothing, sun screen, and water!
NOTE: Athletes should also have an ADDITIONAL pair of shoes that will/can get wet…really wet!!! These should be shoes that athletes can swim with/in…not flip flops!

Life Rolls On Information
For the past four years, ET Water Polo athletes have participated in the Life Rolls On “They Will Surf Again” event in Huntington Beach. Founder, executive director, and CEO, Jesse Billauer, World Champion Quadriplegic Surfer injured and paralyzed in a surfing accident, hosts this event to give “people of all ages with disabilities, and entire families the opportunity to come together for an epic day in the ocean.” Words cannot sufficiently express what an empowering and truly awesome experience this event is for all who participate!

Collin Holmes has been in contact with Jesse Billauer to request a team of volunteers. Once on the site, click on “Volunteer Registration” and complete the fields. When you reach the following fields:

Please select your team preference - Include that you are volunteering with “El Toro Water Polo” and would like to request the BLACK TEAM.

FYI: We don't have wetsuits to loan out
*We supply the big stuff – adaptive surfboards and beach transfer wheelchairs. You supply your own gear – wetsuit (if you prefer to wear one), and towels. If you don't own a wetsuit, but want to wear one, please plan on renting from a local surf shop.
Lunch is on us! We serve breakfast snacks, an awesome lunch, and water throughout the day for registered athletes and volunteers.

Jim Dill has created the site “El Toro High School Boy's Water Polo” for coaches and parents to have a central place to communicate throughout the season and to post and share pictures and videos.
On the site, you'll be able to do the following:
-Access the season's schedule, team roster, and parent contact information
-Receive email reminders of upcoming events & email notifications of site updates
-Share your pictures and videos from team events, and order pictures and photo gifts from pictures shared by other parents
-Sign up on the snack schedule to bring snacks for upcoming games
-Update your child's availability for each game
